As Tim Collins spoke again tonight about “love”, he mentioned some very important points. let’s take a look at some of his main topics:

“LOVE IS NOT A FEELING”

“LOVE GOD=LOVING OTHERS!”

“i have great worth apart from my performance because Christ gave His life for me, and therefore imparted great value to me. I am deeply loved, fully pleasing, totally forgiven, accepted, and complete in Christ”

here’s the problem: even if we don’t want to admit it, we care what people think.

LOVING GOD WITH ALL OF OUR:

heart-our belief,our life

soul-the eternal part of us

mind-our thinking, our decisions.

that was the topic of Tim’s talk tonight. remember? you may not remember every single word that Tim spoke about tonight (SHAME ON YOU! ha just kidding) but if there’s anything that you can take out of what was spoken about tonight..just remember this one word: LOVE. there were several points on love that Tim brought to the surface; “love the Lord your God with all your heart,all your soul,all your mind and all your strength”. Well what does that mean? Love your enemies.what?! God wants me to love the people that hate me? God wants me to love the people that are mean to me? Why would i do that? Take some time and think about why God would want us to love our enemies-as much as we’re supposed to love Him.

Tim’s Main Points for Tonight:

“live your life for God.”

“Love the Lord.”

BIGwednesday

This month, our BIGwednesday will be at VALLEY FAIR MALL, we’ll be meeting inside the mall, outside the mens macys at 630pm (look for maddy) and parent pick up will be at 830pm. MALL HUNTs are always an awesome event where all of the students roam around the mall, in teams, looking for leaders in disguise! Either eat before you come, or bring some money for dinner at the food court.
